Antje Mertig MRICS
After more than 25 years of experience in the banking and real estate sector, Antje Mertig can draw on extensive knowledge of commercial financing, the management of real estate in redevelopment and restructuring environments, and non-performing loans. As a banker, a graduate in banking (BA, Bankakademie/School of Finance) and through continuous further training in real estate economics, she not only has practical experience, but also a sound knowledge of the real estate industry and her specialist area of financing. She has already worked in financing for various banks and changed to credit processing in 2004. At Hudson Advisors and subsequently at Situs (formerly Hatfield Philips), she was responsible in a managerial capacity for extensive and very complex loan portfolios consisting of commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and non-performing loans of up to EUR 6 billion. She speaks fluent German and English. As a Professional Member of the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), she stands for proven expertise and competence, for compliance with the highest standards and professional ethics, and for an international character.
Michael Schäff has almost 10 years of professional experience in the real estate and finance industry. The graduate industrial engineer (FH) began his career as a trainee at CORPUS SIREO, one of the largest German real estate asset management service providers. Prior to joining Steinberg Real Estate + Finance, he held various positions at the internationally active consulting firm Situs (formerly Hatfield Philips), where he was responsible for the loan workout of complex, securitised (CMBS), non-performing (NPL) and syndicated commercial real estate loans. For institutional investors, banks and financial investors, he managed more than 40 transactions on the buyer and seller side as well as financing on the borrower and lender side in the amount of approx. He combines his commercial and real estate training and expertise with his experience in loan processing for international investors. He speaks fluent German and English.
